Electromagnetic Systems Division Facillities

GA’s EMS Division is based in the San Diego, CA suburb of Rancho Bernardo. This modern 180,000 square foot building includes an 80,000 square foot high bay and more than 300 offices. EMS also maintains R&D and test facilities at the main GA campus in the Torrey Pines area of San Diego. These facilities include the first full-scale maglev test facility built in the U.S. In addition, EMS has an inverter manufacturing facility in San Marcos, CA, 15 miles from its Rancho Bernardo headquarters.

EMS also has a manufacturing facility in Tupelo, MS. Linear motors and power inverters are among the products manufactured at this 75,000 square foot facility.

EMS also maintains offices in Andover, MA and Crystal City, VA.
